Malte Jörn Krafft

EiLT Project Coordinator

“For a good tomorrow, we must overcome systemic boundaries.”

Malte Jörn Krafft drives projects forward – and brings together people from a wide range of disciplines. As project coordinator at EiLT, the doctor of wood science strengthens the intersections between the fields of experimentation and thus interdisciplinary cooperation. Having previously coordinated and brought together research teams from forest and wood research in the cross-disciplinary project "WaHo_boost", he now wants to form a large team from the many research groups at EiLT. "Together with my colleagues, I want to show ways in which we can make our land use systems sustainable – especially in view of climate change and changing social expectations," says Krafft.

In his private life, the new father is also committed to his homeland and its people. Malte-Jörn Malte Jörn Krafft volunteers with the local fire brigade and is involved in local politics. He also runs a small farm together with friends. He is convinced that "whether on a small or large scale, for a better tomorrow we must overcome boundaries, combine our strengths and promote ideas together."
